Rules & Regulations

1. Admission
a) To seek an admission in Chavara Public School pupils should produce a transfer certificate from the last school attended, Make list of the previous class & birth certificate from the Municipal office / Municipal corporation / Gram Panchayat.
b) Candidates shall pay the fees together with the activity, miscellaneous, term fees and admission fee in advance. Admission fees once paid will not be refunded.
c) Students from recognized schools cannot be admitted without leaving certificate from the school last attended.
d) Students from recognized schools outside the state should have their leaving certificates countersigned by the educational authority of that state.
e) No child less than six year and is admitted to first standard. A corresponding scale of age is fixed for the succeeding standards.
f) New pupils must be introduced personally by their parents or guardian who will be responsible to the Principal for their regularity of attendance and payment of fees.

2. Leave of Absence and Attendance
a) Parents are requested not to ask for early leave from the school before school gets over. In case of real necessity / emergency permission should be obtained from the principal in prescribed format.
b) Children will not be sent home even in an emergency with anyone during school hours without a written request from the Parents or Guardian.
c) No leave of absence will be grated except on previous written application from the parents or guardian and that only for a serious reason and by the principal only.
d) In case of absence without leave the student on returning to school must give the reason of absence certified by parents on the special page provided in the school diary / calendar. A student suffering from a contagious or Infectious disease must also produce a doctor’s certificate.
e) Students must not leave the school premises during school hours without the explicit permission of the principal. The names of students who are absent for the one month without informing the school authority will be struck off from the register.
f) Absence on the re-opening day after each vacation, important days like Republic Day, Independence Day, School feast day the other important school functions are not allowed and liable for fine.
g) Pupils having less than 75% attendance without sufficient reason will not be allowed to sit for the examination.

3. Withdrawal
a) And or who in the opinion of the head of the school has an unwholesome influence on fellow students or whose guardians show little interest in the progress of their wards may be removed From the rolls. The removal may be temporary or permanent, according to the gravity of the offence.
b) A calendar month a notice is to be given before the withdrawal of a pupil or else the fess up “to sate will be charged with fine. Such a notice should be given in writing by the person responsible for the pupil and not by the pupil, leaving certificate should be applied for in writing by the Parents or Guardian in the form given form the school. Those who leave in June must pay their fees for the month of June. Those who leave in April will pay their fees for the month of May also.
c) Pupils who leave without notice and pupils whose name are struck off the rolls for unexplained absence of more than one month are as rule not re-admitted.
d) School fees are due as long as the name of the pupil is on the register. You are requested to notify the office in time when the student leaves the school or fees will have to be paid till the name is withdrawn.
e) Irregular attendance at school, habitual laziness, disobedience, dishonesty, non – payment of the school within or without are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of a student.

4. General:
A) To the Parents / Guardian:
a) Both parents and pupils are expected to follow principal of discipline laid down in the Secondary School Code, Section VII, Rule 56. “Pupils should realize that they are responsible to the school authorities not only for their conduct in the school but also for their general behavior outside. Any reported or observed objectionable conduct out of the school, on the part of the pupils should make them liable for disciplinary action. Parents or guardian are given to understand that they cannot dictate to the management and that the management has the right to say on what conditions they will admit or retain pupils in their school”
b) Parents / Guardians are earnestly requested to ensure that their children / ward attend school regularly and punctually.
c) Any damage done to the school property in the class or in the school premises has to be made good. Pupils must take care of the equipment that has been lent for their use.
d) The school authorities will not be responsible for the loss, damage or robbery of pupil’s belongining. It is not advisable for the pupils to bring money or valuable goods unless permitted by the school authorities.
e) No collection for any purpose whatsoever will be started without the previous permission of the principal.
f) No book (other than text or school library book), Newspaper or Periodicals may be brought to the school without the permission of the principal.
g) No pupils are exempted from Games and Physical training without a medical certificate. The period of exemption should be specified.
h) Pupils of this school are strictly forbidden to buy any things from the street hawkers. No child should leave the school premises during the short recess.
i) No parents is allowed to meet the children during class hours or recess without the permission of the Principal.
j) Any communication (request or complaint) made by the Parents should be addressed to the Principal and not to the Class teacher. All correspondence from the school to students, parents or guardians must go through the principal.
k) Any documents such a Leaving Certificate, Birth Certificate, Bonafide Certificate duplicate or any extract from General register must be applied for in writing to the principal. The same will be issued in 5 days after submitting the application.
l) Present / gift to the members of the staff or other demonstration in their mohor also require previous sanction of the principal.
m) Responsibility of sending the ward to school on time and taking him / her back after school rests entirely on the Parents / Guardians. Late comers are not permitted to enter the school.
n) The responsibility of the school authorities ceases immediately after the school is closed.
o) Parents should regularly check their Children’s Calendar note and sign report. This promotes discipline among students.
p) If in case parents come to meet principal / teachers or pay fees they have to carry diary of their child to the school and after the transaction, office staff will hand over the diary to the child.
q) Parents can decide the conveyance of their child to come to the school. But school is not permitting any child to use cars, motor bikes and electronics bikes etc in that case if any mishap school will not be responsible for the same.
r) The school authorities will not be responsible for any mishaps happened in school or when the child is taken from the school for any picnic or exposure programs. In case any accident occurs in the school and it if is serious then the child will be taken to the hospital and parents will informed. But the mode of treatment and the expenses will be the responsibility of parents. If any child is sick during class hours they will be admitted in the sick room.

B. To the Students:
a) Pupils are expected to be punctual. Late comers are liable to be sent home at their Parent’s own risk.
b) No pupil who has been absent from school or late will be admitted to the class without the Principal’s approval.
c) At the first bell the pupils will stand, wherever they are. At the second bell, they move in silence to line up in their proper places for the school assembly.
e) Pupils are expected to come to school provided with all that is necessary for their day’s work.
f) Pupils from one class will not visit their friends in any other classroom during the recess or other periods.
g) When pupils move along corridors for, change of periods, they should walk in silence and in single lines. They should always keep to the left.
h) Silence must be observed in the corridors, outside the Principal’s office and the stairs during class hours. There should be no talking at the change of class periods.
i) Running, playing or shouting inside the building is not allowed.
j) When the students to for P.T. or move along the corridor and when changing classes they must walk in silence.
k) No child will be excused from games and P.T. unless a medical certificate is produced.
l) Pupils are not expected to make any damage to building and library books. If the school undertakes the repairs, the parents will be charged for the same.
m) The decision of the principal regarding the amount will be final. The school is not responsible for books, money and other articles that are lost.
n) “A leave note to be furnished on the following day, compulsorily. If your child is absent without prior notice.
* If your child is not to be failed for medical absence and if he / she is absent for more than one day medical certificate is to be preduced with leave application.
o) All pupils must process a copy of the school calendar. Which is to be brought to class on school days. A pupil who loses calendar will have to buy a new one.
p) A penalty may be imposed by the Principal for a fault committed against regularity or discipline.
q) Students must be in the school premises ten minutes in advance to be in time for the assembly.
r) Pupils shall not bring to school any book, magazine, newspaper etc. not approved by the school authorities. All such literature will be immediately confiscated.
s) To maintain the uniformity code, students are not allowed to wear showy earrings, rings, bangles and ornaments. Electronic gadgets are not permitted and will be confiscated if found with the pupil.
t) Speaking English is compulsory within the school premises, even in private conversation, Talent Search Activities are compulsory for all the students.
u) Pupils are strictly forbidden to write/ to make any remarks on the walls or any part of the school premises or on furniture. Any pupil guilty of the damaging the school property will be suspended and liable to pay for the damages.
